 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING MADDOCK SCHOOL BOARD November 13, 2007 A regular meeting of the Maddock School Board was held on November 13, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. Present were President David Swanson, Becky Brandvold, Linda Ellingson, David Kenner, Superintendent Brian Bubach, Principals Penny Leier and Kim Anderson, and Business Manager Brenda Fossen. Guests were Emil Schoenfish and Vanessa Peters.

A motion was made by Kenner, seconded by Ellingson to approve the agenda.The motion carried. A motion was made by Ellingson, seconded by Brandvold to approve the minutes of October 9 and 24, the General Fund bills totaling $26,665.10, Food Service and Activities reports.

The motion carried.

Principals reported on successful parent-teacher conferences, fall enrollment and other student activities.

Emil Schoenfish presented the 2006-07 Audit Report. A motion was made by Kenner, seconded by Ellingson to accept the audit. The roll call vote was all in favor.

A motion was made by Kenner, seconded by Brandvold to approve the second readings of Policy BIB (Revised) Patron Complaints, Policy BIBA (Revised) Patron Complaints About Personnel, and Policy DAIA

(Revised) Employee Grievance Procedure. The roll call vote was all in favor.

A motion was made by Brandvold, seconded by Kenner to approve the Ramsey National Bank Pledge Pool Agreement for the quarter ending September 30, 2007. The roll call vote was all in favor.

A motion was made by Ellingson, seconded by Brandvold to approve the purchase of a water softener system for the kitchen from Klemetsrud Plumbing for $1,650.00 installed. The roll call vote was all in favor.

Two bids were received for coal hauled from Decker, Mont.; Foss Trucking for $76.50/ton and Ebach Construction for $68.50/ton. Both bids apply comparable fuel surcharges. A motion was made by Kenner, seconded by Brandvold to accept the low bid. The roll call vote was all in favor.

Mr. Bubach informed the board that the administration has two meetings scheduled to develop football co-op details to present to the December board meeting.

The next regular meeting will be December 11 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned.

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of a Judgment and Decree in foreclosure rendered and given by the District Court in and for the County of Benson, North Dakota, Northeast Judicial District, entered and docketed in the office of the Clerk of said Court on the 28th day of August, 2007, in an action wherein Kevin Alexander, Jeri Alexander and Benson County Social Services Board through the North Dakota Department of Human Services were the defendants, in which decree it was adjudged that there was due and owing to the plaintiff upon said mortgage indebtedness the sum of Twenty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-three Dollars and 81/100 ($23,863.81) plus interest from August 24, 2007; by virtue of a writ of Special Execution to me issued out of the office of the Clerk of said Court, I will sell said property described in said Judgment and hereinafter described to the highest bidder for cash at public auction at the front door of the Courthouse in the City of Minnewaukan, Benson County, North Dakota, on the 10th day of December, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., and on that day to set aside the amount due to plaintiff with accrued costs as of the date of sale, or so much thereafter as the proceeds of said sale applicable thereto will satisfy.

The premises to be sold as aforesaid are located in the County of Benson, State of North Dakota, described as follows:

Lot Twelve (12) and the North Half (N1/2) of Lot Eleven (11), Block One (1), Gronback’s Addition to the City of Leeds.

OBERON SCHOOL BOARD

October 8, 2007

A regular meeting of the Oberon School Board was held on October 8, 2007. In attendance were Yvonne Thumb, Paula Deckert, Greg Thomas, Principal Kenneth Ploium, Assistant Principal Damian Kennedy and Business Manager Renae Kennedy. Absent were Karen Peterson and Patricia Anderson.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to approve the minutes of the September 10 meeting as read.

The board has agreed to send Paula Deckert and Renae Kennedy to the NDSBA Convention on October 26 and 27.

The school will contact Foss Trucking for prices on hauling coal for this school year.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to accept new teacher substitute pay effective October 1.

A motion was made, seconded, and carried to accept the 2007-08 Title Consolidation Application.

The school will contact Mattson Photography in Carrington for school pictures.

The principal reported on coming activities.

Renae Kennedy presented the financials.

The next board meeting will be November 13 at 5:30 p.m.

A motion was made, seconded and carried to adjourn the meeting.
