LAPSE OF MINERAL INTEREST
Pursuant to North Dakota Century Code 38-18.1-06 Notice of
lapse of mineral interest is provided to the Record Owners
of the mineral interests as follows:
Record owners: Norris Gresdahl and Mabel Gresdahl; Ernest L.
Elverud, also known as Ernest Elverud, and Deloris Elverud.
Description to the following tracts or parcels of land lying
and being in the County of Benson, State of North Dakota,

October 18, 2005
The Benson County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday,
October 18, 2005 at 9 a.m. Commis-sioners present were Jason Lee,
Curtis Hvinden and Ed Ripplinger. The meeting was called to order by
Chairman Lee.
A motion was made by Ripplinger, seconded by Hvinden, to approve the
minutes of the regular meeting of October 4, 2005. All members voted
yes.
The motion carried unanimously.
The board reviewed a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs
dated October 14, 2005, regarding state and federal VA benefits and
the training conference recently held in Fargo, ND.
A motion was made by Hvinden, seconded by Ripplinger, to reappoint
Gene Hager as county road superin-tendent and disaster emergency
coordinator for a period of one year, Barry Cox to the Lake Region
Law Enforce-ment Center board for a period of two years, and Dwain
Brown to the North Central Planning Council board for a period of
two years. All members voted yes.
The motion carried unanimously.
The board reviewed a document signed by Ardon Herman, Arland Halvor-son
and Colleen Rohrer requesting county assistance in managing the
drainage issues in Normania Township.
The board also reviewed a memo and the minutes from the September
14, 2005 meeting of the Devils Lake Basin Joint Water Resource Board
along with the monthly listing showing the elevations for the Devils
Lake Basin.
The board contacted James P. Wang, Benson County State’s Attorney,
to question if an agreement has been drawn up for the county to use
the multi-purpose building being constructed in Maddock.
The board discussed the possibility of offering a flex spending
program to employees.
A motion carried unanimously to adjourn the meeting.
